Why Vaccination is Important

It's understandable to be hesitant about getting the vaccine. It feels rushed, a lot of bad rumors have circulated, or maybe you think "I'm fine with getting covid and building my immunity that way".

The truth is that the COVID-19 vaccines have all gone through the same level of rigorous and thorough research as any other successful vaccine. Over 100,000 people so far have participated in the clinical trials for the currently available COVID-19 vaccines, and all participants who have received the vaccine are healthy, safe, and protected against the virus.

If it's not safety you're concerned with, here's the issue with simply "building your immunity naturally" - this inevitably puts countless others at risk and it gives the virus the opportunity to mutate within you, hindering our progress as a society. You're also not guaranteed lasting immunity after contracting COVID and are susceptible to getting sick with COVID more than once.

Getting the vaccine is our best bet at protecting those around us, protecting ourselves, and finally seeing an end to the pandemic.
